It was the Super Bowl of fashion and Us Weekly Video was there for all the action! The hottest stars hit the red carpet at the 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala on Monday, May 2, in NYC, and they talked style with Us.
Jennifer Hudson stunned in her custom H&M dress. “We all want to be fabulous, right?” she told Us. The Academy Award winner loved her gown, which had 3-D beading and a 4-foot train: “I helped design it, so I think it’s the perfect dress.”
Madonna bared her butt and breasts in a revealing Givenchy gown, but told Us that the reason she chose the black lace outfit was “’cause it’s light.”
“I could jump up and down,” she added as she demonstrated it for Us.
Other stars, including Rita Ora and Uma Thurman, told Us how long it took them to get ready for fashion’s biggest night — anywhere from an hour and a half to three days.
Watch Red Carpet Daily, presented by AT&T, above for more of the best looks of the night, and see what Kanye West told Us about his dazzling blue contact lenses!
